Having not used photoshop before the thought of having to edit and adjust my photographs seemed very daunting. I was told the best way to come to terms with the program is to have to play about with the effects and tools...

Using the TV room in our college gave us a perfect advantage as we were able to control the lighting and the background. Then to create the image below I had adjusted the colour hue and temperature and then used the cloning tool and simply dragged the picture across the page.

For the image below I cropped out the unnecessary people on the idea and made myself and the little lady sitting dow the main focuse. I  then used the healing brush tool to then get rid of the random bits of rubbish int he background to get rid of more distraction.

The main aim behind this image was to get rid of my black eye. Having had a quick tutorial by my tutor on how to get rid of blemishes and strange marks that may appear on the image and how they do it in magazine and other publishing industries. To do this was simple enough just by cloning section of skin and covering up the horrible bits. However, i soon learnt to take care in this as the skin tones didn't add up and I made the image look worse.

My name is Megan Swaisland and I am a Bedford college student studying Art Foundation pre-degree with plans to go to university next year.
