The aim for this project was to capture a piece of scenery and re construct is out of simple items.
We started at the beginning of the week by going out onto the river bank with our sketchbooks to capture some quick sketched and drawings that we would later us for our constructed drawings.
Then when we had returned to the art studio I started to work on textures and item and materials that I would use to create textures throughout the constructed piece.
When it came down to the actual construction of this piece i approached it with an open mind with no barriers to creativity. I knew to create this piece in a big space as I intended for it to be viewed from a distance. Like the artist John Virtue I only used black and white as I feel colour would have been seen a an unnecessary distraction.
